WHO WE ARE

Edjacent is a design collaborative of educators who believe in empowering first responders to the future.

In order to meet the needs of the current generation without compromising the needs of future generations, we must envelop our first responders in a supportive community and model a sustainable future for the young people we love. Educators, parents, and caregivers deserve the best resources and support available to do the work that is needed to nurture our young people.

OUR VISION

Creating the adjacent possible for education.

"The adjacent possible is a kind of shadow future, hovering on the edges of the present state of things, a map of all the ways in which the present can reinvent itself.”

 – Steven Johnson, Where Good Ideas Come From

This theory posits that innovation comes from systems that develop NEXT TO traditional systems, forcing change when the system itself is not interested in changing. Our vision is to create the adjacent possible for education.
